Monsoon;
Like the welcome rain,
Stormy, fierce and beautiful
You entered my June -
And swept me off...
Flooding me with emotion
Drowning me in desire;
To myself - no heed, no caution...
Coconut;
All tough on the out
But on the inside soft
Without doubt;
Cold and snarky for all to see
But warmness held within -
Lacking kindness you cannot be,
Behind those glasses
Eyes are sometimes moist
Behind those smiles - feelings
Sometimes not voiced
Dreams you have
Little things - big things;
Means you've chartered out
Cold streams and fire rings...
Cog wheels racing,
Time bomb ticking -
Any time for romance?
Will I ever get a chance?
Love's no game,
In losing no shame -
I stand without armour...
You are my Irene Adler.

A Flame Amidst A Storm
09/03/2010
In my mind unrest
Breath escapes my chest
My patience put to test
I ask of you but a sign...
Don't tell me you're mine-
Just that you are fine.
Pine I do, like a man torn
A while now, a frown I've worn
But to myself this I've sworn,
Come rain or shine;
I'll stay true
To myself and to you-
A being of faith and trust
And passion too, if you must.
Like a flame amidst a storm,
I hold my love dry and warm
Nurturing me this love;
I need it more than you...
This love, still young
may not make sense to you;
this love so strong,
but this love has not been long,
What will come of it, who can tell
But this thirst for you, I cannot quell...

Delirious Rantings in Rhyme.
9/1/2010
1.)
I've been here too long.
Don't know what heaven is;
have never heard that song.
But if heaven's anything like you,
I'll close my eyes and die right now...
2.)
Long time ago, our eyes met last,
that memory though, not in the past
brown embers in white placid lakes;
no tears for me now, and no heartache...
3.)
While your fingers go tip tapping
the wait sends my heart pounding;
thoughts painting a picture in my mind
of beauty such, that leaves the world behind!

Requiem for the Unrequited.
Delirious rantings of a lonely soul
he's a sad singer; was an 'ace in the hole'
no more love songs, no more guitar
for a life gone bitter - more whiskey sour
A singer of repute with an ego big
He made all hits, every single gig.
then he had woman to woo, a reason to sing -
today he's ill mannered; under no one's wing
Outside the bar his dreams are burning
in a gust of wind; who cares it’s raining...
cowboy boots sink into deep slush; stains-
he's choking on tears but won't say it pains...
Drunken dancing till the car -
only round the corner, not too far
one step missed, now off the curb
his forehead kisses tar, all blood smeared,
A tear travels lone,
on the side of his face,
Not 'cause he's bleeding
but 'cause his time's coming.
If only he could see her once
if only once she would hear-
How much he loved, how much he cared
one final glimpse and he'll know
how he's fared...
In the face of death
he'll never know
what her heart spoke
what they had in store...
