Moments in time
that'll never be mine,
like tears in the rain
Tears; just escape from pain...
The smiles are all fake
just for your sake;
I can't see you; so faraway
behind silhouettes- you're castaway.
Between us both, many a mile
in that space, creatures all vile
Swimmer I am, but not agile
reaching you, will take a while...
All that time, how will you wait?
Whenever I reach; It'll always be late.
My love for you, what is it worth?
this duel I will lose, that is just fate.
Inching forward, it's not even a step,
and at each inch, I need to return...
Between universes, in times apart
There's still a will to travel,
a mighty heart...
But stop I will never.
Fueling my inner fire,
is a potent desire-
some goals are so worthy;
dying for them; only brings glory.
Some smiles so pretty;
I envision perfect cherry blossoms.
-Adi
The last stanza is inspired by a quote from my hero, the nation's hero; the immortal Lt. Manoj Kumar Pandey (1999, Kargil) and by many a haiku dedicated to perfect cherry blossoms...
ReplyDeleteAnd if you've seen her smile, you will agree, they make for perfect cherry blossoms, worth dying for!
