Life’s Crossroads

Hold me, complete me
Love me,
And Maybe
Someday,
You’ll miss me…

Eyes that smile,
Eyes that say more
Than the voice can care,

Sweet silence,
Where only my heart speaks
Thinking of something to say
That’s both comforting and adorable

But I remain mum,
‘cause I’ve lost myself
Somewhere between
You’re gaze and your hair…

And as I come up
With something smart to say
You’ve already distracted me
With just a simple look…

And as my mind
Wrestles with your smile
Struggling to concentrate,

You follow it up
With some close quarter
Eye to eye combat!

Even with all of this
You let me feel like –
A wise guy, like as if
I actually impress you…

Sometimes I wonder,
Do you really know;
How I feel about you?

And if you know how,
Do you know how much?

In this case though,
Is there a point
In giving this emotion
Words and life?

And as our eyes meet,
For the last time that night, I realize
That we’re at life’s crossroads
And while you’re headed west,
I’m probably headed east…
